Accelerating Nimiq Ecosystem Adoption through ActionFi Campaign

  1. Project Description

This proposal introduces a structured ActionFi campaign designed to drive meaningful user interaction across the Nimiq ecosystem. The campaign would incentivize users to complete real product actions such as wallet creation, using Nimiq OASIS, exploring staking, interacting with swaps, and engaging with ecosystem tools.

Unlike traditional quest platforms focused on social engagement, ActionFi campaigns are built around measurable product usage and repeat participation.

Target audience:

  • Existing crypto users unfamiliar with Nimiq
  • New users onboarding into self-custody and Nimiq products
  • Active Web3 communities seeking incentives tied to real product interaction
  1. Project Goal

The campaign aims to:

  • Increase Nimiq wallet adoption and active usage
  • Drive interaction with products such as OASIS, staking, and swaps
  • Improve user retention through repeat engagement incentives
  • Expand awareness of Nimiq’s ecosystem through incentivized onboarding
  • Generate measurable growth in ecosystem participation
  1. Budget Request

Requested amount: [Read from the notion site which would be provided at the end of the proposal]

Proposed allocation:

  • Campaign setup and management
  • Reward pool distribution to users
  • Marketing and amplification (community exposure, creator support)
  • Performance monitoring and reporting

Budget would be structured around campaign scope and target KPIs.

  1. Timeline

Estimated duration: 3 months

Phase 1:
Campaign design, KPI alignment, and setup

Phase 2:
Campaign launch and user onboarding

Phase 3:
Optimization, retention loops, reporting, and final performance review

  1. Terms of Completion

Project completion would be measured through:

  • Number of users onboarded
  • Product interactions completed
  • Repeat engagement metrics
  • Campaign participation rates
  • Final report summarizing performance and outcomes

Deliverables:

  • Live campaign
  • Analytics/performance report
  • User participation metrics
  • Retention insights
  1. Milestones

Milestone 1:
Campaign planning and setup
Deliverable: Campaign structure + launch preparation

Milestone 2:
Campaign activation
Deliverable: User onboarding and ecosystem interaction

Milestone 3:
Performance optimization and reporting
Deliverable: Final metrics and campaign summary

  1. Compliance

The proposal will comply with Nimiq Community Council legal and ethical guidelines, including transparency around budget allocation, reporting, campaign structure, and measurable outcomes.

Additional Resources:
ActionFi is currently in launch phase with an active ecosystem community participating in incentivized product interaction campaigns focused on real usage and retention.

Thank you for taking the time to prepare and submit this proposal.

After reviewing both the forum post and the additional documentation, the Council has decided not to move forward with funding this proposal.

Our decision is not based on the quality of the underlying idea, but rather on the current stage, scope, and positioning of the proposal.

The proposal is currently too generic and not sufficiently “Nimiq-specific”. One of the key criteria we look for when evaluating proposals is a clear and direct connection to the Nimiq ecosystem and a concrete explanation of how the requested funding would generate measurable value for Nimiq users, builders, or adoption.

While the proposal presents a broad framework for community engagement and ecosystem growth, much of the concept appears applicable to virtually any blockchain ecosystem. At this stage, we do not see a sufficiently defined Nimiq-specific strategy, integration plan, or set of deliverables that would justify ecosystem funding.

Significant project definition and development work would still be required. The proposal outlines a vision and a potential direction, but many of the critical elements required to evaluate feasibility remain undefined.

The Community Council’s objective is generally to support initiatives that have a well-defined scope, realistic milestones, and a clear path toward execution.

While early-stage ideas and experimentation are valuable, proposals seeking funding are generally expected to demonstrate a higher level of project maturity. This allows the Council to evaluate risks, expected impact, budget allocation, and accountability more effectively.

At this stage, we believe the proposal is closer to a conceptual framework or a tool presentation than to a sufficiently defined project ready for funding consideration. The Council may not be the good decision maker for such a collaboration.

We appreciate the effort and thought that went into preparing it.

Thank you again for your contribution and interest in supporting the Nimiq ecosystem.
