This is essential for good stablecoin UX: someone who only holds stablecoins should be able to transact without first buying NIM. EVM chains achieve this through “paymasters”, off-chain sponsors that pay the fee on your behalf, which introduces a central point that can be abused. As a non-EVM chain, Nimiq can make pay-in-token native to the protocol, where the chain itself prices and accepts the token being sent.
