Moving forward, we’re working on a mini-apps framework so we can test traction before adding native features in Nimiq Pay. This also opens the door for community developers to build on top and lets us integrate existing DeFi apps with lightweight effort.

- Swap mini-app (USDT/USDC/wBTC ↔ NIM; payment-intent aware for Bluecode/NAKA/LN)
- One-click NIM staking (operator mini-apps; single-validator)
- Cashlink (create/redeem once ready)
Then
- Gift cards / prepaid purchases
- Native Bitcoin rails (on-chain + Lightning) if demand and partners align.
- Community tokens (colored coins) with clear issuance/controls; evaluate NIM L1 vs. EVM.
- Yield integrations for non-NIM assets (ETH LSTs, restaking, curated lending) with conservative allow-lists.
- Graduations: promote the most-used mini-app flows into lean, NIM-first features.
