Community Question: Why is there little public communication about progress or plans?

Following the release of Proof of Stake at the end of last year, the Nimiq project and organization entered a phase of thorough introspection. After nearly eight years of continuous development, the team wanted to ensure that the entire organization is fully aligned and working with one voice and one shared direction. To address this, we embarked on a structured transformation process with the support of specialized coaches, conducting a deep exploration of Nimiq’s identity, mission, and long-term goals. This intensive effort involved hundreds of hours of workshops and collaborative sessions across the entire organization. It allowed us to redefine our internal structures and establish a stronger, more cohesive foundation for the future.

Because this work was both extensive and also constantly evolving, it was not possible to communicate concrete plans publicly during that time, as many of the answers were still ‘work in progress’. We are now pleased to share that Nimiq has now successfully completed this phase of strategic and organizational realignment and emerged from this process renewed, restructured, and operationally focused, with a clear direction for the next phase of the project’s development.

  1. Will public communication improve going forward?
  2. What specifically will be communicated now that the alignment is done?
  3. How often should the community expect updates?
  4. What channels will be used?
