Nimiq Community Council – Proposal guidelines

Welcome! This forum section is dedicated to collecting proposals from community members seeking support or funding from the Nimiq Community Council.

To ensure a smooth and fair evaluation process, every submission must include the following elements:

1. Project Description

Clearly explain your project:

  • What is it? (e.g. website, app, marketing initiative, tool, event, etc.)

  • What problem does it solve or what opportunity does it address?

  • Who is it for?

2. Project goal

Describe the expected impact on the Nimiq ecosystem:

  • Does it drive adoption, awareness, or engagement?

  • Does it introduce new use cases or improve existing ones?

  • How does it benefit the community?

3. Budget request

Provide a transparent breakdown:

  • Total amount requested

  • Detailed allocation of funds (development, marketing, operations, etc.)

  • Justification for expenses

4. Timeline

Outline your project schedule:

  • Estimated start and completion dates

  • Key phases or milestones (if applicable)

5. Terms of completion

Define how the project’s completion will be evaluated:

  • What deliverables will be provided?

  • How will you demonstrate that the project is finished? (e.g. live product, report, metrics, etc.)

6. Milestones

If applicable, you must break your project into milestones:

  • Each milestone should include deliverables, timelines, and associated budget

  • This helps track progress and simplifies phased funding analysis that will be asked

Please refer again to the Nimiq Community Council Legal & Ethical Guideline Framework about this matter.

7. Compliance with the Legal and Ethical Guideline Framework

Your application must comply with the Nimiq Community Council Legal & Ethical Guideline Framework.

Please read carefully paragraphs 6 and 11 for mandatory infos that must be added to your proposal.

Please read carefully paragraphs 3, 4, 7 and 8 for all rules your proposal and project must respect.
