I’ve spent the last couple of weeks giving PlayNimiq a complete redesign.
The goal wasn’t just to make it look better—it was to make it feel like a polished gaming platform with a consistent experience across every game.
Complete UI/UX refresh
Every game has been redesigned with a shared design system:
- Modern landing pages
- Redesigned gameplay screens
- Better onboarding
- Improved statistics and progress tracking
- Responsive layouts
- Lots of polish and animations
Current games include:
-
2048 -
Snake -
Sokoban -
Daily Minefield -
Battleship
Each game now has its own personality while still feeling like part of the same platform.
Unified rewards backend
One of the biggest changes is a completely new platform-wide rewards backend.
Instead of every game implementing its own payout logic, everything now goes through a shared service that handles:
- reward calculations
- eligibility checks
- anti-abuse validation
- payout history
- treasury management
- automatic NIM payouts
The best part is that it isn’t limited to PlayNimiq games.
Any future game (including third-party projects) can integrate with the same reward system, making it much easier to add new experiences without rebuilding the backend each time.
This is also the foundation for NimBomber, which will plug into the same reward platform when it’s ready.
Admin platform
The admin side has also been completely rebuilt with dashboards for:
- User management
- Treasury
- Transactions
- Sponsors
- Game catalog
- Anti-Sybil tools
- Reward administration
Already live
PlayNimiq is already available as part of the official Nimiq App Store inside Nimiq Pay, so anyone can start playing today. or play at https://playnimiq.com/
Players can already earn free NIM every day simply by completing daily challenges and climbing the leaderboards.
There’s still plenty of polish and new features coming, but it’s finally starting to feel like a real gaming platform instead of a collection of separate mini games.
I’d love to hear your feedback!
