MAX amount can be set automatically when entering a value that is too high.
The option to send the maximum was put back, it appears after you click on the triangle to the right as āSend allā. Something that Iāve noticed though, is that if you change the fee the maximum amount does not change, so perhaps the option should automatically update the amount depending on the fee, and once the user edits the amount āmanuallyā it could return to its normal mode of operation (without automatically updating the maximum amount).
The ātoo highā method only works when increasing the fees after setting āSend allā. When decreasing, it doesnāt update the amount.
The team will look into it.
Having issues connecting to Ledger recently. Tried Chrome and Braveā¦ i had accessed before and send funds. Now i am not able to get to the UI. (have the app on ledger etc).
It seems stuck in a loop, sometimes the ledger nano device connect popup appearsā¦ but even then once i connect and login to the NIMIQ app on my device,.,nothing happensā¦ the tab just says connected to a USB device but no UI appears
Have tried this several times, updated the app, tried different browsersā¦ not only a little frustratingā¦ scared that my funds are gone
I will say this - i thought it was easy and great the first time i accessed and sent funds but nowā¦ hmmm
Quick update: Finally got it to work. Basically
- Disable chrome://flags#new-usb-backend
- Restart
- THEN go to Nimiq wallet and login to ledger AND NimiQ App
- Connect and then it works
If the order is not correct, might have to repeatā¦ and i guess i before i wasnt doing it the correct orderā¦ sorry about the frustration
Hi, sorry no one answered you sooner, but your issue was solved literally one post above yours
Indeed this has nothing to do with Nimiq but is Google Chromeās fault, and all projects are affected until Ledger updates their client libraries.
Glad you figured it out, happy Nimiqing!
Chrome 87.0.4280.101
Android 9; SCV36 Build
Scrolling down contacts doesnāt work, fifth and more contacts are barred by three Android buttons.
Iāve been unable to connect my Ledger nano X to my Nimiq Wallet. Iāve used every browser I possess(Brave, Chrome, and Firefox). Any guidance would be appreciated. Iāve created the wallet with the ledger months ago, everything worked fine. I go to the Wallet address I click Connect to Ledger and nothing happens I just see the purple loading screen.
Hello harry,
this issue appeared with Chrome / Chromium based Browsers (like Brave) switching their USB backend in the newest version.
The workaround so far has been to either:
- disable the new backend via chrome://flags/#new-usb-backend
- use Chrome 86 or below
- click the cancel button instead of the connect button: this enables a fallback. Note that a bunch of popups might show up, which can be safely ignored though and actually must not be closed. Also note that on Windows this fallback only works for connecting to the Nimiq app, not for connecting to the Bitcoin app.
- or use Firefox to use the same fallback implementation as described above with the same limitations.
But I just deployed a new Version of the Nimiq apps which should fix the problem without the need for workarounds. Please try again.
Someone pointed out in the spanish Telegram group that the update dialog on the Nimiq web wallet appears way too often. On Android I always turn off automatic updates on Google Play Store for the same reason, so Iām in part sympathetic. Perhaps adding a new tab for announcements on the wallet could serve the purpose of showing an alert icon if a new version of the wallet is available, instead of the current dialog, and also Nimiq related news, like for instance a new blog post or video.
When entering the password in the keyguard, after you reach the maximum displayable password length, the dots donāt move or give other feedback to indicate if your keystrokes are registered or not, so it can be confusing to enter a long password and you lose track of where you are.
Hi! Does the function to switch between hidden and plain-text password work here? As long as your are alone, you can make the password visible.
yes switching to plain text works, but I still think that having āhapticā feedback when entering a password makes it easier, just some wiggle in the dots when there is a new character added or something.
But maybe I am misjudging that, I mean it works as it is and itās only a minor thing
On a different note, I initiated an EUR/NIM swap and cancelled it at step 2/5 via the interface (before sending the EUR transaction). There was the warning that the swap volume will still be deducted from my monthly limit, I clicked āOKā and it immideately switched to āStep NaN/5ā and itās still stuck there
Thank you, @Redexe!
I agree on the dots in the password field, itās not obvious that users are typing (or not typing anymore).
For the ghost swap, we have a fix and will go live later today (CR time)
Just tried the new nimiq oasis integration in wallet. Few things I noticed:
My bank asks for First Name, Last Name and Bank Name. I was a bit confused what to put there.
Also the link to āblock explorerā after sending the SEPA transfer seems broken to non-technical users: https://oasis.ten31.com/v1/htlc/H7B3SMUOJBEL37PVCHXPQS6E6
Last thing is the reference, it shows spaces in the UI but when copying there are no spaces. Does it work for both? Maybe removing the spaces from the UI can remove the doubt.
At first you have to choose you are sending the wire to a company.
BUG: If you are in the settings, and click on the āBuy NIM & BTC with OASIS!ā thing on the left, you go to the wallet and the popup opens. but if you click on the x, you go back to the settings in the background, but the popup is still there. if you click again, the popup closes.
