The core app and the Mini-App framework become fully open source, a direct expression of “Open Source by Default”. A big part of this has already happened: in October 2026 the full source code of Nimiq Pay was published under GPLv3 at github.com/nimiq/nimiq-pay-app, including the Nimiq and EVM wallets inside the app, the host that runs Mini-Apps and the provider they talk to. What remains is the rest of the picture: individual feature Mini-Apps are open-sourced selectively, per feature, since some may have to stay closed for legal reasons (see Ba.3), and open-sourced Mini-Apps can be co-maintained by the community.
